My role at Slush

Slush is a startup and tech event held every November in Helsinki. It brings together startups, investors, and people from the tech industry — thousands of attendees over two days.

This year I'm the Startup Booths Team Lead. I'm part of the Partnerships team, and I'm responsible for the startup booth area — around 100 booths where startups get to show their product.

My role covers a few stages:

Right now, I've been contacting startups to invite them to apply for a booth — which has honestly been really fun.

Soon, I'll pick 3 volunteers to help with the program.

After that, I'll be organizing the booths and acting as the main point of contact for the startups taking part.

Last year, I enjoyed Slush because I got to be in awe of the event itself. This year, I'm enjoying it differently — I'm enjoying my role!!
